WHO WE ARE
our mission
Doe Eyes Animal Sanctuary and Rescue is a small woman founded and operated 501c3 nonprofit, located in the Washington DC-Maryland-Virginia area (DMV), that is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and in some cases rehoming, of any and all creatures in need. We help any animal that has been neglected, abused, sent to slaughter or simply forgotten. It is our sole purpose to care for these animals and show them that their life has meaning. That they are loved. That they are important.
OUR RESCUE
Rescuing cats, dogs, factory farm animals, the birds and the bees
Our rescue mission is simple; Rescue. Rehabilitate. Rehome. We continue to save many cats and dogs from abuse, neglect and death. From off the side of the road to pulling from inhumane kill shelters. Once we feel the animal is healthy and safe enough to be adopted we then work with fosters to try and find amazing furever homes that are just the right fit for everyone.

OUR SANCTUARY
MEET THE RESIDENTS OF DOE EYES
Our sanctuary residents consist of farmed animals, horses, and any other animal that we see fit to stay here with us forever. Our sanctuary residents don’t get adopted out but instead get to stay and live out the rest of their days in peace and security. Many of these animals have come from factory farms or slaughter auctions. Their lives were meant for a profit before. Now their lives are their own. They sunbathe and graze on pastures all day long. They will never know the fear of slaughter or an inhumane death. We currently are a furever home to cows from the dairy industry, sheep and goats from slaughter auctions, pigs from hoarding cases, chickens, rabbits, a horse and many farm kitties.
If you are able, please donate to help us move to a bigger space and save more lives. No donation is too small.
